A Divided Place
Palestine and Israel have always fascinated me with such politically created violence and tension. When Raj offered to talk about his 3 weeks spent here, I was more than happy to take up his offer.

In this episode, hear how Raj divided his own time between the two locations. He speaks with locals and explores historic sites.
What stands out for me the most, is how he slept on the roof of a hostel directly underneath the stars each night. Truly magical.
Backpacking Through The Region
Raj came about staying here as he backpacked through the Middle East. Having completed his degree in History, the fascinating background all the way to the crusades had drawn his attention to the region.
You hear so much in the media about the region, but Raj decided to see for himself.
Saving money by volunteering at a hostel in exchange for free accommodation, he went on free walking tours (and then drinks with the guide), his own excursions and saw as many sites as possible.
Listen on as Raj recalls funny anecdotes and fantastic insights into the region.
You can also hear more from Raj as he hosts his own podcast “RSP Podcast“, available on all platforms.
